Mark earned his law degree in 1976 from IIT-Chicago Kent College of Law and is a member of the Chicago and Illinois State Bar Associations. Mark brings a broad range of civil practice experience to the firm having tried numerous jury and bench trials in both the state and federal courts and has a million dollar jury verdict to his credit. Although adept as a litigator, Mark believes that dispute resolution should not be the exclusive province of the courts. He is also a trained Mediator, Supreme Court approved Arbitrator, a former member of the ISBA’s alternative dispute resolution committee and current member of the judicial evaluation committee which is charged with vetting applicants interested in becoming a judge or seeking retention as a judge.

Over the years Mark has devoted service to charitable, youth, political, and community service organizations. For more than a decade, Mark has served as an officer and Board member to The Lilac Tree, Inc., http://www.thelilactree.org, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization which provides information and resources to women in the process of divorce. Mark is also a current board member of the Evanston Community Tennis Association, http://www.evanstontennis.org, and a Co- Director of the organization’s annual Fourth of July Tennis Tournament.

With his wife Holly, Mark lives in Evanston. His son Aaron has recently earned his law degree and daughter Jenna is earning an advanced degree in early childhood education.
